Shaykh Ebrahim I. Bham is born and raised in South Africa. He has attained his masters in the Islamic sciences and theology under great traditional scholars. Shaykh Ebrahim I. Bham is known to be one of the most active scholars in South Africa for education, development, advocacy and interfaith. He has served in various capacities in South Africa at Newtown Islamic Institute, Alaqsa Institute, Mayfair Jame Masjid, and Hamidia Masjid.Muslim Community Presentations:

Sh. Yusuf Badat is born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He has studied under some great scholars, receiving several formal authorizations in the sacred sciences with top honors. His commitment to the sacred sciences began early in his life when Allah blessed him with the ability, by age 14, to complete the memorization of the Holy Quran. He completed a rigorous 6-year Alim course at Darul Uloom Zakariya South Africa where he achieved his masters in the Islamic sciences, which included but was not limited to, language, exegesis (tafseer) and jurisprudence (fiqh). He earned authorizations in Hadith under the Grand Mufti of South Africa- Shaykh Raza-ul-Haq. Sh. Yusuf Badat is an Ontario registered minister of religion & licenced marriage officer. He also holds a degree in Netwok Adminstration from the Toronto School of Business.He has served as Imam for 7 years at Masjid Anwarul Islam of Malton (Masjid Saliheen) in Mississauga, Canada. He is also an instructor at the Toronto Shariah Program and also the Uloom program in Brampton. Sh. Yusuf Badat is an active executive member of the Canadian Council of Muslim Theologians (www.jucanada.org).
Currently, Sh. Yusuf Badat serves as a teacher for Arabic, Islamic Studies, World Religions and Imam at the Islamic Foundation of Toronto. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.
Labbayk is a nasheed group based in London, UK. The group started singing officially in Islamic events from the year 2003 and have been doing live performances around the UK. The group consist of 3 brothers, Masum, Ehsaan and
Imran. The nasheeds composed have no musical instruments and no musical instruments were utilised in composing the vocal harmonies. The lyrics and content have been verified by scholars in order to maintain the limits and boundaries of Shari’ah.

Dr. Munir El-Kassem was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1955. He was educated at Al-Maqasid Islamic Institute where the Foundation of his Islamic knowledge was established. He was the top student to be admitted in the Premedicine program at the American University of Beirut. Following his migration to Canada, he continued his studies at the University of Western Ontario earning a Masters Degree in Medical Genetics thereafter joining the University of Toronto to graduate as a dental surgeon in 1986. After spending 15 years in general practice, he joined the University of Western Ontario as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
Since his arrival in Canada in 1976, Dr. El-Kassem has been very actively involved in Islamic Da’wa. He has visited a large number of Muslim communities across Canada and the United States. He has also participated in interfaith dialogue and appeared on numerous radio and T.V. programs. His audio and videotapes on various Islamic issues have been widely distributed. One series, in particular, (A Matter of Life and Death) has been quite popular worldwide and portions of it were shown on local T.V in many countries. He is the author of many Islamic books. He is also a regular contributor to the London Free Press, writing on a variety of issues from an Islamic perspective. He also hosts a weekly radio show, Islamic Perspectives, on 1290 CJBK.
Munir El-Kassem is currently a visiting Imam at a number of Islamic Centres across Ontario, Canada. He is also the Muslim Chaplain at the University of Western Ontario. He is married and blessed with five daughters and one son.
